Getting to RNYC RNYC is located within South Harbour at the Port of Blyth, around 12 miles North-east of Newcastle upon Tyne. See our location map for more details. Arriving by road From most locations, approach Blyth from the A192 following signs for Blyth Beach. Follow the A1061 to the A193 Beach Road and go straight over the roundabout onto Links Road. The entrance to South Harbour is on the right, after the caravan storage park. Due to the club being within the port operational area, visitors vehicles are not permitted beyond the security barriers without prior arrangement. There is parking available outside the barrier on the right, near the caravan storage park. When past the barriers, you pass the club boatyard on the left and then reach the club members car park. The entrance to the club is through the gate at the far left corner. You then need to walk along the quay to the club ship and moorings. Public Transport Mainline trains are available to Newcastle, which is 14 miles from the club by road. A less frequent local train service runs to Cramlington which is 6 miles away by road. Bus service 308 runs from Links Road outside the port towards Blyth Town Centre and Newcastle City Centre via Whitley Bay. Newcastle Airport is 16 miles away by road, and is connected to Newcastle City Centre by the Metro light railway. Change at Haymarket station to catch a bus to the club. There is also a daily ferry service from Amsterdam to North Shields which is 13 miles from the club by road.
