7th Jan: Living the Dream; The Good, the bad, and the ugly Posted on 3rd January 2015 by Carl Vincent Jan and Elaine Grieveson will bring their mix of ‘Life Philosophy’on why they left the UK and their journey to Greece, to our January Winter Talk on Wednesday 7th Jan has 900 slides and videos, which he has promised to condense to allow us a quick beer break; I think we will need it! To include; Leaving the UK, The Dutch ‘standing mast route’ from Vlieland to Vissengen. The French canal system, including tunnels and viaducts across the Loire. Why we hate Italy (???) Why we stay in Levkas. The Tornado; the weather systems in the Ionian and the Aegean. Boat repairs and Greek beurocracy. Jan will not be alone; Elaine will speak for half the sessions, explaining the liveaboard rules of Pink Jobs and Blue Jobs. Oh, and I nearly forgot, they will talk about money; the budget they set out with, and the actual finances required. I am certain this will be one ‘not to be missed’ event and a fantastic opportunity for anyone contemplating future travels, or just fancying a lively evening to brighten up the New Year. See You There, Hot food from 7.00pm.
