From the Harbour Master:
Due to the concerns that the Harbour Authorities have with regard to the age and condition of the wooden jetty area adjacent to our dry berthing crane they have stopped anyone parking their cars in this area.
The area has been chained off but I have been advised by the Harbour Master that this does not mean we cannot use the Crane to launch/retrieve suitable size boats and we can drive onto the jetty to achieve this, although leaving vehicles there is forbidden.
To allow ease of access I have been advised that the first section of chain approached is detachable to allow you to drive straight in to the crane area. The chain obviously having to be replaced to secure the area after use.
