RNYC extends a warm welcome to private yachts and their crews visiting Blyth. On approach, please call Blyth Harbour on VHF Ch 12. The Harbour will advise of any commercial shipping movements or other hazards. Blyth is a commercial port; do not impede commercial shipping using the fairway.
Stay on the correct side of the fairway until clear to make your turn into the South Harbour, leaving sufficient space at the round end for vessels leaving. Berth on the north side of the most northerly pontoon. We can sometimes offer alternative berths depending on yacht movements.
The charge is £3.65 per metre per 24 hrs with a minimum charge of £19.25. There is also a short stay (maximum 5 hours) rate of £11.45. You should pay at HY Tyne, if open, or the berthing master who has a card reader.

Yachts up to 15m can be accommodated on a first come first served basis. Larger vessels should contact moorings@rnyc.org.uk at least 24 hours prior to arrival to ensure there is space. Vessels should have someone on board overnight unless prior arrangement has been made.
The House Yacht has showers, a bar, and there is food available, although if you want a ‘proper’ meal for several people you should contact us first on 01670 353636.
Red diesel is not available at South Harbour, but there are nearby garages selling road diesel. Water and electricity are available on the pontoons but you will need to purchase a pre-payment card for electricity at the Club. The Club can put you in touch with divers, marine engineers, yacht chandlers and sail makers.
You can be assured of a traditional Northumbrian welcome at RNYC. When eventually you decide to depart, please first call the Harbour on VHF Channel 12.
