Sunderland International Airshow 2016

This coming weekend is the Sunderland International Airshow 2016 and we are organising a cruise in company.

Set off at 9.00 am on Saturday and optionally pick up guests at royal quays fuelling berth at 11.00.

Muster at 12.30 off Seaburn Beach behind exclusion zone

Flying from approximately 12.30 to 5pm:

  • Royal Air Force Aerobatic Display Team – the Red Arrows (Saturday only)
  • RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team (Saturday and Sunday)
  • RAF BBMF – Battle of Britain Memorial Flight – Lancaster, Hurricane and Spitfire (Saturday and Sunday)
  • RAF Chinook (Saturday and Sunday)
  • The Tigers Freefall Parachute Display Team (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Royal Navy Swordfish (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Red Bull Matadors (Saturday and Sunday)
  • OV-10 Bronco (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Gyrocopter (Saturday)
  • Twister Duo (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Beach Assault (Saturday)
  • Vampire Pair (Saturday)
  • The Blades (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Typhoon (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Mitchell 320 (Sunday)
  • Norwegian flypast – Vampire and MiG 15 (Sunday)

All displays and flying times are subject to change due to weather or operational conditions.

Cruise back to Blyth 5.00 pm

Optional stay over at Royal Quays on Saturday night, (please make your own bookings for this)

There is a catering van from the Herb Garden on site who are having a new restaurant built on the quay. I suggest you bring folding table and chairs and your own drinks.

Further details on the facilities at Royal quays to follow for the Saturday night. Then cruise back to Blyth on Sunday (time to be confirmed)
