“The summer’s gone and all the boats are lying up” – so says Danny Boy, but not so, the Winter Series is upon us and the promise of some cracking days out on the water to while away the winter.
The first pursuit race is this coming Sunday 27th October. First boat off at noon, one hour and back to the bar for food and drink. This is going to be a totally laid back series so if there is anyone out there who wants to crew or sail their boat please contact myself, Roger Wilkins or Ken Murray.
The usual format is: see what the weather looks like for the Sunday and post individual start times Friday/Saturday. Sign in on Sunday before 11:30. At your allotted time (a good idea is to use an atomic clock app on your mobile) report in on the selected VHF channel as you cross the start line and off you jolly well go around the course. At 13:00 hrs take your position in the fleet and let us know. Times posted on Facebook and at the race station in the main club alleyway.
Open to all, crewing positions, and plenty of fun, fun, fun!
