The small crane has now been repaired.
The chain bucket has been securely attached and the chain greased.
Please remember not to inch the winch and watch out for shrouds catching on the boom as this is suspected to be the reason for the cable failure.
The crane will undergo a full service in two months time including the replacement of the chain with a stainless steel one and new armoured cabling for the winch head control feeds.
