Martin Willis – Harbour Master
For the last talk of the season, our guest speaker is a man you don’t want to get on the wrong side of! Harbour Master and Marine Director of the Port, Martin Willis, will share his thoughts on the roles and responsibilities that come with the job and the ongoing preparations for the North Sea Tall Ships Regatta 2016.
As well as being the home of the RNYC, Blyth is a trust port which handles over 2 million tonnes of cargo a year with an operating revenue in excess of £20million per annum. It operates in the oil & gas, renewable energy, container and bulk sectors amongst others.
