Commencing Saturday 22nd June and continuing for a period of approx. 5 days a programme of maintenance dredging will commence in the approaches to the Harbour entrance and within the navigable between the breakwaters at Blyth Harbour.
This will also include frequent trips to and from the deposit ground.
The works will be undertaken on a 24 hour basis with latest information regarding the areas being dredged available on VHF Channel 12 (Blyth Harbour Radio).
All vessels are required to monitor VHF Channel 12 and avoid impeding vessels engaged in dredging operations; commercial vessel arrivals and departures will be directed by Blyth Port control as required.
During the works the following craft will be engaged in operations:
UKD MARLIN SUCTION DREDGER
BLYTH ENDEAVOUR TUG/BED LEVELLER
CAMBOIS PILOT/SURVEY LAUNCH
All craft will display the lights and shapes as prescribed in the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea and when working will keep a listening watch on VHF Channel 12.
