6th December “Serving Seafarers”
Paul Atkinson of the Apostleship of the Sea will explain how they help professional seafarers in distress with practical as well as pastoral care.
His organisation was involved in the provision of practical and spiritual support for the crew of the Donald Duckling where the Phillipino crew had not been paid for months and ended up in the NE of England with no warm clothing.
Could all RNYC members coming to the talk on Wednesday 6th of December bring any items of warm clothing to the talk e.g. jerseys, scarves, gloves, hats and jackets that are surplus to their requirements to allow for future seafarers to be clothed appropriately ?
